  • EVERYONE overreacted and acted stupidly, in my opinion, and singling out only one side is wrong.

  • We started talking with them in 1990. 16 UN Resolutions ignored. 31 Letters of Condemnation from the United Nations. 13 years of economic and political sanctions defied. How long do you propose we continue to negotiate? 100 years?

  • They'd do nothing... just like when Obama went to Bill Ayres to get his political career started, or to Tony Rezko for financial support. I actually have seen these stories in the news, but they're buried.

  • Actually, the really lost message here is that he *is* a maverick, and that has put him at odds with Republicans far more than it has endeared him to them. Conservatives *hate* McCain-Feingold.

  • My favorite line was the one about Obama having time to write two memoirs and not one piece of major legislation. I think it sums my view of his record up well.

  • Excellent speech. I agree with nearly everything he said. He wants to help people. McCain wants to help people help themselves.
